Sessions are based on research evidence and best practise. They focus on specific areas of speech, language and communication which includes:

-
Developing vocabulary and word finding skills.
-
Improving expressive language, sequencing and narrative skills.
-
Improving written language skills.
-
Improving clarity of speech - articulation and phonology.
-
Developing strategies to improve fluency - reduce stammering.
Support can range from ad-hoc input to weekly or termly sessions. I can provide therapy to meet individual needs or a whole school approach.
The sessions will typically last around 45 minutes to an hour and can be delivered at home, in school or outside in nature.
The cost of a direct speech and language therapy session varies depending on the service required but generally sessions start from £100.
I can also provide indirect speech and language therapy in the form of
advice and programmes of support for parents, carers and teachers to follow at home or in school.
Advice and programmes are also based my assessments and follow evidence and best practice. They focus on specific areas of speech, language and communication listed above.
Programmes provide advice and activities to be carried out daily, weekly, termly or on an ad hoc basis. Programmes provide therapy to meet individual needs or a whole school approach. Resources can be provided as required. I provide on going support and coaching to those following the programmes.
I can also be available to attend meetings including annual reviews and case conferences.
The cost of these services varies depending on the time needed to produce it and the level of support needed to ensure it is effective.
